Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for specific sub-processes in finance which includes AR, AP, Costing, Inventory, Compliance, General Ledger and Planning & Analysis. This role includes developing and implementing financial strategies, managing risks, and ensuring that the company's financial operations comply with statutory regulation and accounting standards. The Finance Manager works closely with the Senior Finance Manager and other the same level cross-functional department managers to provide insights that guide decision-making process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

CREDIT AND COLLECTION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for the Sales Revenue Cycle by managing the invoicing, billing and collection processes. Review of completeness and accuracy of Sales Invoices and posting the same to the Sales Book

· Manage the company's credit policies and executing them by approving or denying credit terms applications

· Supervise the timely collection of receivables within the payment terms agreed upon.

· Oversee the credit risk management, maintain client relationship along with the Field Sales Team

· Implement strategies to improve the cash flow and minimize bad debts

· Collaborate with the Sales Team to resolve customer disputes via reconciliation and eventually ensure timely payments. Negotiate settlement plans when necessary and work with Legal Team on collection actions and resolve escalated credit issues.

· Recommend clients to be put on hold based on payment performance for those which are delinquent and have payment issues.

GENERAL FINANCE MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accounting Operations

o Manages the daily accounting operations of assigned sub-process (AR, AP, Costing, Inventory, Compliance, General Ledger and Planning & Analysis)

o Manages completion of assigned tasks to her/him and her/his team during period-end close process.

o Ensure postings and updates to the respective Books of Accounts are timely, complete and comply with the accounting standards

o Collaborate with cross-functional departments on the dependencies during month-end cut-off

· Financial Reporting and Analysis

o Prepare financial schedules to support the financial statements that will be issued by the Senior Finance Manager

o Conduct flux analysis on the schedules assigned, comparing current month vs prior month, vs previous year and provide commentaries on significant fluctuations on the comparisons

o Develop financial models for specific scenarios as needed to support decision-making

o Develop annual OpEx budget for the department to meet the target expense level. Monitor and analyze operating costs to identify areas for efficiency improvements.

o Report and monitor KPIs under Finance and track those which affects Operations: E.g.: AP Turnover, AR Turnover, WCR, Forecast Accuracy, DIOH, etc. and provide high-level commentaries on the changes.

· Compliance

o Ensure that all financial transactions and reporting are compliant with applicable laws, regulations and accounting standards

o Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the organization assets

Manage and support tax filings, audits, and other regulatory filings in collaboration with external auditors and tax advisors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related business course or field.

• Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a management role.

• Technical and Soft Skills:
• Strong knowledge of the accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial/ taxation regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Software Proficiency:

Proficiency and advanced skills in using MS Excel and can understand/ adapt in the use of ERPs
