We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software through advanced automation frameworks and continuous integration processes. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automation scripts for both API and UI testing, while working closely with developers and DevOps teams to maintain high testing standards across all phases of development.

Key Responsibilities

API Automation

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for REST APIs using REST-assured (Java) or similar frameworks.
  • Validate API requests, responses, status codes, headers, and payloads.
  • Design scalable API test frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

UI Automation

  • Build and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio with familiarity in Playwright concepts.
  • Utilize strong understanding of DOM structures, locators (XPath/CSS), waits, and Page Object Model (POM) to ensure script stability and maintainability.
  • Create reusable, modular, and maintainable test components.

Programming & Frameworks

  • Write automation code using Java and test frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
  • Apply automation design patterns, including data-driven and BDD approaches.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and coverage across components.

CI/CD & DevOps

  • Manage builds and dependencies using Maven.
  • Use Git for version control and branching strategies.
  • Implement and maintain automation test pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in QA automation with strong hands-on coding skills in Java.
  • Proven experience designing and executing both API and UI automation test frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD integration and DevOps collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality assurance excellence.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Playwright or Selenium-based frameworks.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 18 months

Pay: Up to Php120,000.00 per month
