Accountant (E-Commerce & International Reconciliation)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Accountant who thrives in reconciliation, compliance, and accuracy-driven work. In this role, you will ensure that all e-commerce settlements, bank transfers, and tax filings are properly matched, verified, and audit-ready across multiple jurisdictions.

You will play a critical quality-control role in our finance operations while ensuring that Amazon and other e-commerce channel settlements align perfectly with Odoo records, VAT filings are accurate, and financial trends are clearly monitored to support management decisions.

This position is ideal for an accountant who enjoys structured work, precision, and ownership, and who wants exposure to international accounting, EU VAT, and cross-border e-commerce finance.

Who We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to:

  • AP/AR

  • Bank and settlement reconciliations
  • VAT or tax reporting
Preferred Experience
  • Understanding of EU VAT regulations, especially for cross-border e-commerce
  • Familiarity with Amazon, eBay, or similar e-commerce platforms
  • Experience using Odoo or similar accounting systems

  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, data organization, Pivot Tables)
  • Ability to analyze large transaction datasets and spot discrepancies
  • Solid documentation and reconciliation discipline

Key Responsibilities
1. E-Commerce Settlement Reconciliation
  • Match Amazon and other e-channel settlements to Odoo records with full accuracy
  • Reconcile platform settlements against bank transfers (e.g., ING, DSB)
  • Identify, document, and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain clear, audit-ready reconciliation files
2. Compliance & Filing Support
  • Validate EU VAT filings against transaction-level data
  • Assist with BIR compliance (e.g., 1601C, 2550Q)
  • Review tax grids, fiscal positions, and reporting classifications
  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions
3. Financial Trend Monitoring
  • Track weekly revenue vs. cost movements across sales channels
  • Flag unusual variances or inconsistencies for review
  • Support payment forecasting and cash position tracking
4. Process Improvement & Quality Assurance
  • Implement QA checks to reduce recurring errors
  • Develop standardized reconciliation templates
  • Maintain clear documentation for audits and internal reviews
  • Share best practices with the accounting team
