  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to standard recipes, and ensuring consistent food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
  • Order Management: Accurately processing customer orders (often via a POS system), managing order tickets, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation.
  • Dispatch & Delivery Coordination: Organizing completed orders for takeout or delivery, checking orders for accuracy and quality before dispatch, and sometimes directly delivering food to customers if the role includes a delivery driver component.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen workspace, including equipment, storage areas, and general work areas, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Assisting with receiving food supplies, stocking and rotating inventory (following a first-in, first-out philosophy), and reporting low stock levels.
  • Customer Service: Providing a positive experience through professional interaction with customers (in person or by phone) and promptly addressing any order issues or special requests.
  • Team Support: Collaborating effectively with other kitchen and service staff to ensure overall operational efficiency and a positive working environment.
