Job Summary: The General Ledger (GL) Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the general ledger accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This role will lead the GL team, enforce accounting policies and internal controls, and provide financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the General Ledger team in performing daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions.
  2. Oversee and ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
  3. Maintain and monitor compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies.
  4. Review financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with reporting requirements.
  5. Lead and improve processes related to general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
  6. Manage fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  8. Support management with financial reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting needs.
  9. Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  10. Mentor, coach, and develop team members to ensure high performance and growth.

Key Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Special Skills:

● Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.

● Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills.

● Strong communication and leadership abilities

● Experience in process improvement and internal controls implementation
