Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure & Security Engineer to manage, document, and secure our hybrid IT environment across AWS, Palo Alto Cloud Firewalls, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Intune, and on-premises network systems.

This role involves ensuring reliable connectivity, robust security configurations, and well-documented systems to support ongoing operations and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

AWS Infrastructure

  • Configure and maintain VPCs, VPNs, and networking components.
  • Document IAM users, roles, and policies, ensuring MFA and least-privilege principles.
  • Maintain accurate records of EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and S3 buckets (including permissions and backups).
  • Oversee CloudWatch and CloudTrail logging, monitoring, and alerts.
  • Manage account ownership transfers and key management for secure operations.

Palo Alto Cloud Firewall

  • Manage firewall configurations, policies, and VPNs.
  • Export and back up firewall configurations.
  • Review and document security, NAT, and threat prevention policies.
  • Maintain credentials, subscriptions, and update schedules.
  • Oversee logging and monitoring for threat detection.

On-Prem Network & ISP

  • Manage and document core switches, VLANs, routing, and uplinks.
  • Export running/startup configurations and maintain network topology diagrams.
  • Oversee ISP relationships, IP allocations, and hardware replacement plans.
  • Ensure network monitoring and alerting systems are operational.

Meraki Wi-Fi Infrastructure

  • Administer the Meraki Dashboard, including user access and network structure.
  • Export and maintain AP inventory with serial numbers and locations.
  • Review and document SSID/VLAN configurations, RADIUS authentication, and traffic shaping policies.
  • Manage firmware updates and admin ownership.

Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)

  • Manage users, groups, and role assignments, ensuring MFA and conditional access compliance.
  • Review enterprise app registrations, SSO configurations, and domain sync with on-prem AD.
  • Maintain audit and sign-in logs and ensure global admin accounts are secure.
  • Transfer ownership of custom apps and service principals as needed.

Microsoft Intune

  • Oversee device management, compliance policies, and configuration profiles.
  • Document application deployment settings (Win32, LOB, and Store apps).
  • Verify integration with Defender for Endpoint and Azure AD Conditional Access.
  • Manage enrollment settings, reporting, and automation scripts.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate network and systems documentation, including configurations, inventory, and diagrams.
  • Prepare regular reports on network and system performance for management.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all security and compliance survey responses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, network engineering, or systems administration.
  • Hands-on experience with:

a AWS Services (VPC, IAM, EC2, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, S3)

b Palo Alto Firewalls (Cloud and on-prem)

c Meraki Dashboard Management

d Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune

e Network configuration and monitoring tools

  • Strong understanding of network security, VPNs, routing, and VLANs.
  • Documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Relevant certifications (preferred):

a AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect

b Palo Alto Networks PCNSE or PCCSA

c Microsoft Certified: Entra ID / Intune Administrator

d CCNA or CompTIA Network+
