Role Description

The part-time Information Technology faculty member is primarily responsible for delivering Outcome-Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL) in assigned IT courses and sharing professional expertise aligned with program requirements. Duties include preparing OBE-based course materials within the Learning Management System, delivering lectures and hands-on laboratory instruction where applicable, assessing student performance, and integrating current industry practices and technologies into classroom learning.

Although part-time faculty instructors are not required to engage in research, they are encouraged to participate as their industry background provides valuable insight for academic and applied research initiatives.

This role is ideal for IT professionals who wish to contribute to the academic formation of future IT practitioners while continuing active engagement in the industry.

The applicant must be willing to commit to teaching for at least one full semester.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Attainment: Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or any relevant field.
  • Industry Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the IT industry, such as software development, database management, network administration, cybersecurity, systems analysis, cloud computing, IT project management or other related work.
  • Mentorship Ability: Demonstrated ability to guide students in capstone projects, internships, research activities, and professional examinations or certifications.
  • Professional Credentials: Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Certified Data Science Professional, Professional certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), Cisco (CCNA), AWS, or equivalent are an advantage.
  • Systems Compliance: Computer literate and must be proficient in web-based application such as email, School Information System, and LMS (experience in Moodle is a plus).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php Php450.00 per hour
