The React Native Developer (MID LEVEL) will play a vital role in mobile development efforts, leading the delivery of high-quality, performant, and scalable cross-platform mobile applications. This role focuses on creating intuitive, offline-capable mobile solutions using React Native for Android and iOS, while collaborating with backend, DevOps, and QA teams. The position supports the digital transformation strategy and contributes directly to better microfinance delivery.

Full stack development experience is preferred, particularly in backend services built with or Python, to ensure seamless collaboration across front-end and back-end components.

Mobile App Design & Development

· Build cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android.

· Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for Android and iOS.

· Integrate mobile apps with backend APIs using REST and GraphQL.

· Design and implement offline-first architecture for remote field operations.

Infrastructure & Delivery

· Contribute to mobile CI/CD pipelines using tools like Fastlane, EAS, and CodePush

· Collaborate on Docker-based environments and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP).

· Ensure app versioning, OTA updates, and proper signing for production builds.

Code Quality & Documentation

· Write clean, reusable, and modular code with full documentation.

· Implement automated unit and integration tests using Jest and Detox.

· Conduct code reviews and participate in pair programming to maintain high-quality standards.

Stakeholder Communication

· Work closely with backend engineers, QA testers, and product owners to deliver complete features.

· Communicate blockers, trade-offs, and progress transparently during sprints.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies and support iterative development.

Mentorship & Continuous Improvement

· Mentor junior React Native developers and promote best practices.

· Recommend mobile-first design improvements, tools, and frameworks to the team.

· Champion performance tuning, security enhancements, and analytics instrumentation.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

· Minimum 3 - 5 years of software development with MORE THAN 2 years in React Native

· Proven experience delivering mobile apps to production on both Android and iOS

· Familiar with OTA update tools (CodePush), Fastlane, and mobile-specific CI/CD

· Strong skills in React Native, TypeScript, RESTful API integration, and mobile architecture

· Comfortable with Agile/Scrum practices and hybrid team environments

· Full stack development experience is preferred, particularly in or Python

· Willing to provide support during production outages or urgent release needs

· Proficient in: React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, Redux/Zustand, React Navigation

· Experience with: REST/GraphQL APIs, Expo, Fastlane, Firebase, OTA updates

· Familiar with: or Python for backend coordination

· Cloud experience: AWS (Amplify, S3, Lambda), GCP (Firebase suite)

· Tools: Git, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, VS Code, Flipper, Detox, Jest Strong

understanding of responsive design, mobile UX, and app lifecycle

· Experience in using Docker, Kubernetes, and modern cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)

· Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies, CI/CD, Git, and automated testing

· Amenable to start immediately

· Amenable to a Hybrid set up (2 days WFH & 3 days ONSITE )
