Job Description:Category ManagementAnalyze category performance in terms of sales, margin, and inventory across different store formats. Develop category roles and strategies (LEGS principles: Lead, Exit, Grow, Sustain) for each format, supporting business objectives. Ensure proper execution of the
New/Replace/Delete item process, aligning with category strategies. Monitor market trends, perform market surveys, and provide recommendations to improve range assortment. Collaborate with the Merchandising team to implement category tactics and promotional strategies.
Planogram Development and ExecutionLead the creation and implementation of planograms, ensuring proper visual merchandising across all store formats. Establish merchandising principles in coordination with the Merchandising team, ensuring they align with category strategies. Optimize store layouts by coordinating category plotting for new and revamped store layouts.
Provide tools and processes for planogram development and ensure timely execution in stores. Oversee the compliance monitoring process for planogram implementation across multiple locations. Vendor CoordinationCollaborate with vendors to ensure proper execution of sales plans for new, regular, and slow-moving items.
Ensure vendors provide accurate product visuals and specifications required for planogram development. Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and proper implementation of merchandising plans. Store Visits and Compliance AuditsConduct regular store visits to assess planogram execution and identify opportunities for improvement.
Audit stores for compliance with planograms, ensuring accurate product placement, shelf labeling, and visual merchandising. Monitor stock levels and product availability, alerting the Replenishment and Store Operations teams of any issues. Data Analysis and ReportingUtilize sales data and customer insights to measure the effectiveness of planograms.
Analyze category performance, foot traffic, and customer feedback to continuously improve product placement and store layouts. Provide regular reporting to the management team with recommendations for optimizing space allocation and sales performance. Training and DevelopmentProvide training to the Planogram team and store employees on visual merchandising techniques and planogram execution.
Ensure consistent application of planogram standards and best practices across all stores through effective communication and documentation. Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations teams to align planograms with promotional activities, product launches, and business objectives. Coordinate with store management to gather feedback and ensure smooth planogram implementation.
Market Research and Competitive AnalysisStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies. Perform market analysis to benchmark visual merchandising practices and ensure competitive advantage for the brand. Continuous ImprovementActively seek feedback from stores and customers to refine planogram strategies and visual merchandising approaches.
Identify and implement opportunities for improving product presentation, customer experience, and sales effectiveness. Team LeadershipLead the Planogram team, providing direction, support, and performance management. Set team goals and ensure alignment with the company's merchandising and operational objectives.
Job Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or any related course2 years in Merchandise Planning and Control or any related functionMMS Training
