We are looking for a Data Engineer, preferably with experience in the lending industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will join our corporate Advanced Analytics team in Manila to participate in the definition and development of innovative decision solutions to our global client base.
  • You will work with GDS consultants to design, develop, and maintain an efficient and scalable company-wide data architecture, including the construction of data ingestion pipelines, data cleansing, and transformation processes from different sources.
  • Responsibilities also include building and maintaining data warehouses, automating workflows, optimizing queries for performance and resource efficiency, and supporting data scientists by delivering accurate data for both production pipelines and ad hoc analyses.

Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics. Statistics or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience
    in data engineering, data warehousing, or a similar role.
  • Programming and Database skills: High degree of computer literacy and previous programming experience on R/Python/Java required. Experience building, using and maintaining SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience in Snowflake and cloud data platforms (AWS) is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python, AWS, and MySQL is a must.
  • Visualization skills: At least one year experience on dashboard tools like Power BI.
  • Fluent in English. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Natural team player who can work well either independently or in a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willing to work on hybrid set-up
    (2x a week report to Makati office) and
    shifting schedule
    (midshift and/or night shift).
