This is an opportunity to own a sophisticated, data-driven marketing stack and collaborate directly with WallStreetZen's global growth team. You'll play a central part in scaling a product used by investors worldwide.
The Role
We are looking for a T‑shaped marketing technologist with breadth and depth, a professional who understands the full digital marketing ecosystem yet possesses deep expertise in automation, analytics, and data integration. You will be the technical backbone of WSZ's marketing stack: building automation flows, managing analytics instrumentation, running A/B tests, and connecting behavioral data to revenue outcomes.
This is a client‑integrated independent contractor role. You will work directly with WSZ's U.S.- and Asia-based marketing team, collaborating daily. Your contract will be with DavCan Inc., WSZ's Philippines‑based service partner.
The Mission
Empower the marketing and product teams to move faster by owning the growth technology stack end-to-end. Translate marketing ideas into robust, data-driven implementations so that lifecycle automation, analytics, attribution, and experimentation work seamlessly together — with accurate data and minimal engineering dependency.
The Stack
WSZ's marketing operations revolve around three core applications: (for lifecycle automation and messaging), Mixpanel (for behavioral analytics and funnel tracking), and SegMetrics (for attribution, ROI, and LTV analysis). Used together, these platforms connect engagement ) with user behavior (Mixpanel) and revenue outcomes (SegMetrics), providing a unified, end-to-end view of the entire customer journey.
Together, these tools form an integrated data and marketing automation ecosystem, requiring a technically adept operator to connect, maintain, and optimize cross-platform workflows. You'll write SQL queries to extract funnel and retention data, edit HTML/CSS in email and landing-page templates, connect APIs between tools like and SegMetrics to ensure data integrity, and use low-code automation platforms to streamline and connect workflows between systems, reducing reliance on engineering for day-to-day campaign operations.
The stack also includes VWO and Unbounce for landing-page creation, A/B testing, and conversion optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle Automation and Messaging )
Design, build, and maintain complex, event‑driven automation flows in
- Integrate campaigns with internal APIs and databases, ensuring data accuracy and clean schema design.
Manage segmentation, personalization, and error handling across all flows.
Behavioral Analytics and Funnel Tracking (Mixpanel)
Implement and govern Mixpanel instrumentation, event schemas, and data validation.
- Track user journeys, analyze engagement and conversion funnels, and design actionable dashboards.
Collaborate with engineering to ensure complete coverage of user events and edge cases.
Attribution and Revenue Analytics (SegMetrics)
Configure and manage SegMetrics integrations with Mixpanel, , and ad platforms.
- Track customer LTV, attribution paths, and campaign ROI across all channels.
Reconcile data between marketing, analytics, and payment systems to ensure reporting accuracy.
Conversion Rate Optimization and Experimentation (VWO and Unbounce)
Design and execute CRO experiments using VWO (or Optimizely or ) and Unbounce (or Instapage).
- Synthesize test results into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Partner with design and engineering to implement data‑driven improvements across the funnel.
Technical Product Management for Marketing
Translate marketing goals into technical requirements and workflows.
Propose practical, scalable solutions that balance marketing objectives with engineering constraints.
Webinar Production & Technical Support
Oversee webinar production, including scheduling, AV setup, editing, publishing, and automation of follow‑up sequences.
Project Management
Provide basic project management for cross‑functional marketing initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years in technical marketing operations, growth analytics, or marketing engineering roles within product‑led or performance environments.
- 3+ years direct experience with at production scale. Comparable experience with Iterable, Braze, or HubSpot Enterprise considered if readiness to use at an advanced level is demonstrated.
- 3+ years direct experience with Mixpanel, including schema design, event instrumentation, and reporting. Advanced experience with Amplitude or Heap Analytics considered if readiness to use Mixpanel at an advanced level is demonstrated.
- 2+ years experience designing and executing CRO experiments using VWO (or Optimizely or ) and Unbounce (or Instapage).
- Strong technical foundation: SQL, HTML/CSS, APIs, low‑code automation, and practical understanding of marketing attribution and data modeling.
- Experience collaborating with U.S., Canada, Australia, U.K., or EU‑based teams, with excellent written communication and documentation skills.
What Success Looks Like

Work Setup and Expectations
- Full‑time, dedicated independent‑contractor engagement (no concurrent employment).
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, U.S. Central Time (exact hours to be agreed with the client).
- Consistent online presence and responsiveness during work hours; async communication via Loom and similar tools as needed.
Compensation and Payment
- Compensation is USD‑linked: choose to be paid in USD or in PHP, in the latter case at the prevailing exchange rate on each pay date.
- The monthly range, US $4,250 to $5,100, corresponds to ₱250,000 to ₱300,000.
- 13th-month bonus payable mid-December each year.
- With the bonus, the annual pay range is US $55,250 to $66,300/₱3,250,000 to ₱3,900,000.
