Your Role

As an Windows & Doors Estimator, you are responsible for:

Provides end-to-end support for estimating and client communication. The position focuses on interpreting architectural plans, preparing accurate Excel-based quotes, and managing professional sales follow-ups for custom windows, doors, and joinery projects. This is a full-time offshore role aligned with Brisbane business hours.

  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, including window and door schedules, elevations, sections, glazing notes, measurements, and opening directions.
  • Extract complete window and door details from plans and input data accurately into Excel quoting templates.
  • Perform precise quantity take-offs and calculations using Excel formulas and functions.
  • Convert completed estimating spreadsheets into client-ready quotations using standard templates.
  • Review documentation and proactively request missing or unclear technical information from builders or clients via email.
  • Manage quote-related client communication, including follow-ups to progress leads and maintain engagement.
  • Reinforce the value of premium, custom joinery solutions through clear and professional written communication.
  • Maintain organised records of quotes, revisions, and correspondence.
  • Participate in structured daily check-ins and respond promptly to internal queries during business hours.
  • Build familiarity with the company's product range, specifications, and premium positioning.

Experience:

  • Background in estimating, drafting, quantity surveying, architecture or residential construction.
  • Experience in the windows and doors or timber joinery industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to read architectural plans.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar tools is beneficial but not required.
  • Confident using Excel, email, and basic office software.
  • Experience with customer-facing communication or sales support is an advantage.

Workflow Summary

  • Receive either architectural plan packages or website/email enquiries.
  • Extract and verify all required technical information.
  • Request missing details where required.
  • Complete quote calculations in Excel and submit drafts for internal review.
  • Progressively take ownership of accurate quoting and client follow-up with minimal supervision.
