【About Project】
Large-scale project for Global Insurance company.

【Role and responsibilities】
1. Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams
2. Actively involve in the primary responsibilities that include but not limited to:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and related tools for web and backend services.

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for cloud (OpenShift) and hybrid environments.

• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and rollback processes across development, QA, and production stages.

• Collaborate with application, QA, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot build, deployment, and runtime issues.

• Integrate security, quality, and compliance checks (CheckMarx, Vex Tool) into the CI/CD lifecycle.

• Manage version control, branching strategies, and package management (NPM, VS Code ecosystem).

• Monitor systems performance and support operational stability/reliability for insurance applications and batch workloads.

• Assist teams with onboarding and best practice adoption, maintaining documentation in both Japanese and English.
3. Actively contribute towards various Transformation initiatives (Process maturity, Devops automation, Security vulnerability remediation, etc.) to achieve the project goals
4. Mentoring and guiding junior team members while assigning and tracking the tasks for closure without any schedule, quality and cost slippages

Requirements 【Must】
1. JLPT N2 or above certified. Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese with native speakers
2. 5+ years in DevOps, site reliability, or automation engineering roles.
3. Strong experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub), container orchestration (OpenShift), and automation scripting.
4. Familiarity with insurance industry requirements (data privacy, uptime, regulatory integration).
5. Experience managing deployments for Java/NodeJS, React/Angular, MuleSoft, and COTS platforms.
6. Ability to effectively coordinate with Product owner, Customer SMEs from Business & IT, Onsite and Offshore teams
7. Actively involve in Application transition and stabilization phases by aligning to Japan (JST) working hours

【Nice to have】
1. Exposure to monitoring/alerting tools and performance optimization.
2. Experience integrating testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, JMeter, Load Runner) in DevOps pipelines.
3. Familiarity with Japanese insurance sector IT operations or transformation projects.
4. Security certification or experience with DevSecOps.
