Job Description
Drive the full lifecycle of designing and building scalable, high-performance data pipelines across diverse platforms and data sources.
Enhance data infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
Perform detailed code reviews and offer feedback to uphold best practices and high coding standards.
Support the development of other data engineers through mentoring and technical guidance.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data needs and deliver effective engineering solutions.
Resolve complex data challenges, ensuring data integrity, availability, and consistency.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend data systems development
- Data Pipeline Orchestration and Workflow Management
- Apache Airflow: Popular for scheduling and monitoring complex data pipelines.
- Prefect: Modern orchestration tool gaining adoption.
- Apache NiFi, Talend, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory: ETL tools for data integration and transformation
- DataDog or similar tools for tracking and monitoring data pipelines
- DevOps and CI/CD Tools: Docker, Git, CircleCI (or other CI/CD pipelines) for containerization, version control, and automated deployments
- Experience in building data solutions at enterprise scale
