Job Description:

SAP Ariba Functional Engineer

As a member of the Global Procurement and Payments team, the key focus of this position is to assist with the implementation, operations and management of key sourcing and procurement technologies. In addition, the position would be responsible for developing reporting on company spend, purchase orders, sourcing and contract data to support the procurement team and the business. This position reports to the Director, Procurement Solutions.

What will you do?

  • Ensure efficient day to day operations of the SAP Ariba sourcing and procurement applications. As the subject matter expert, you will work with IT, Sourcing, Procurement, AP and external suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
  • Leading and/or partnering with IT or external suppliers in the identification and implementation of new technology and system enhancements. Including the documentation of requirements, system testing and development of reporting.
  • Ensure robustness, integrity and security of sourcing and procurement data across all applications
  • Development and distribution of timely and accurate operational and management reporting and metrics
  • Documentation of processes and operating procedures
  • Rigorous focus on identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Develop close working relationships with business partners and stakeholders with an objective to maintain or improve business partner satisfaction
  • Development and deployment of internal online collaboration tools (i.e. SharePoint, and collaboration tools) to support effective operational processes and business partner collaboration, awareness and adoption
What you need to succeed:
  • 3-5 years of experience with administering and configuring SAP Ariba modules including Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP), Sourcing, Contracts, Buying and Invoicing (P2P), Guided Buying, SAP Business Network (i.e. Ariba Network).
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG)
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA an asset
  • Knowledge on SAP Ariba Approval flows, Master Data, Catalog, Invoice exception, Tax configuration, and Contract invoicing and compliance is desired
  • 3 years in a procurement environment is desired
  • Advanced skills with Excel and experience with MS Access
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Macros and VBA is an asset

  • Strong attention to details for both reporting and system testing.
  • Strong business data and analysis skills with logical thinking
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead projects, work independently and to exercise judgment
  • Proven time management skills, multi-tasking and the ability to successfully handle multiple project priorities in a fast paced environment
