The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies, and achieving cost-effective and timely purchasing. This role involves managing vendor performance, developing strategic sourcing initiatives, and fostering strong vendor relationships to support business needs. The Procurement Officer will also lead procurement activities for both operational and IT-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full procurement cycle, from purchase requisition to purchase order preparation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders (when needed), monitor order status, and follow up on incoming orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Process import shipment entries and coordinate logistics with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Conduct market research, identify potential suppliers, and source new products with optimal cost, quality, and after-sales support.
  • Manage procurement for internal IT requirements and other operational needs.
  • Make product inquiries and negotiate with both local and foreign suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, monitor vendor performance, and resolve issues to ensure reliable supply.
  • Implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize procurement efficiency and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and support business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate regular reports on purchasing activities and vendor performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Proven negotiation skills and supplier relationship management proficiency.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement regulations, best practices, and purchasing cycles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Driven, goal-oriented, and flexible to work extended hours when necessary.
