The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of company premises, employees, and assets. The role involves observing live and recorded footage, identifying suspicious activities, and promptly reporting incidents in accordance with company policies and security procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor live CCTV feeds and review recorded footage to detect suspicious or unauthorized activities.
  • Ensure continuous and effective operation of CCTV cameras, recording equipment, and monitoring systems.
  • Report security incidents, irregular activities, or system malfunctions to the Security Supervisor or Management immediately.
  • Document incidents accurately through incident reports and logbooks.
  • Coordinate with security personnel and law enforcement when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of surveillance footage and sensitive information.
  • Perform routine checks on CCTV equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Assist in investigations by retrieving and preserving video evidence.
  • Follow company policies, safety regulations, and data privacy laws at all times.

Qualifications

  • College level (preferably in Criminology, IT, or related field).

  • Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar security role is an advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and monitoring software.
  • Ability to work on shifting schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physically and mentally fit to perform duties effectively.
