As a Content & Search Marketing Creator, you will research, write, and optimize content for web and social platforms, ensuring it aligns with audience needs, SEO best practices, and brand tone. The Qualifications We Seek

Essential Criteria

  • 2-4 years of experience in digital content creation, journalism, or content marketing.
  • Proven ability to write helpful, trustworthy, audience-centric content.
  • Understanding of SEO principles from a user-first perspective.
  • Strong editorial instincts, grammar (UK English), storytelling skills, and inclusive writing.
  • Ability to follow a style guide with precision.
  • Experience creating content for web and social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, basic image formatting, and HTML.

Desirable Criteria

  • Background in travel, lifestyle, or service-focused content.
  • Experience with tools like Keyword Planner, SEMRush, or Google Search Console (user experience focus).
  • Understanding of content accessibility.
  • Familiarity with brand voice development and tone mapping.
  • Confident in using AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude).
  • Previous experience in the Online Travel, Hire Car, or Insurance industry.
  • Prior experience with Australian companies and business processes.

Your Daily Tasks

Technical and Execution

  • Research, write, and edit helpful content, including destination guides, travel tips, landing pages, and informational articles.
  • Create content that reflects real-world experience, user needs, and subject-matter expertise, aligned with Google's E-E-A-T guidelines.
  • Regularly review and update existing content to maintain accuracy, relevance, and trustworthiness.
  • Create engaging content for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram that transforms long-form articles into bite-sized, scroll-friendly stories.
  • Create social copy that captures our brand tone, educates our audience, and subtly boosts organic visibility.
  • Collaborate on social content calendars and share timely, relevant updates that align with the travel lifecycle.
  • Format, upload, and schedule content in our CMS, ensuring proper structure, readability, and SEO standards.
  • Optimise metadata, visuals, alt text, and internal linking to enhance usability and content discoverability.
  • Ensure content is accessible and mobile-friendly.

Stakeholder and Relationship Management

  • Collaborate closely with SEO and content strategists to find content opportunities based on user intent, not just keywords.
  • Work with designers, editors, and developers to ensure seamless content experiences.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Review engagement and traffic metrics to understand how your content performs and identify areas for improvement.

Innovation and Growth

  • Contribute to content brainstorms and editorial planning alongside the broader SEO and marketing team.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, guidelines, laws, regulations, and codes, and follow other instructions given by the Management from time to time, including those required in connection with Australian financial services laws and regulations and consumer protection laws.
