A prominent, listed property developer in the Philippines is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Assistant Accounting Manager
to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with strong technical skills and leadership experience to take a pivotal role in the financial reporting and operations of our company.
Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Accounting Manager, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records and leading key accounting functions. Your primary duties will include:
- Bookkeeping & Record Management:
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in compliance with company policies and
Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
. - Financial Consolidation:
Perform the end-to-end consolidation of the books of accounts for the listed company, ensuring strict adherence to
Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
. - Tax Compliance:
Reviewing and approving monthly, quarterly, and annual tax calculations, filings, and payments to ensure timely and accurate compliance with all regulatory requirements. - Payment Processing:
Supervising and approving the disbursement and payment processing cycle. - Team Leadership & Development:
Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of 5–6 accounting professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous professional growth. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Acting as a key point of contact for financial matters and working closely with various internal departments (e.g., Operations, Sales, Treasury). - Budgeting & Financial Analysis:
Participating in the preparation of the annual budget and conducting variance analysis to support management decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
- Education & Certification:
Must be a
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
. - Technical Expertise:
Must be well-versed and possess strong practical experience in applying
Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
. - Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Currently supervising or leading a team of at least 2–3 accounting staff.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Openness to working collaboratively and effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders across the organization.
Preferred Background (A Plus)
Candidates with the following experience will have a distinct advantage:
- Exposure to
