ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for overseeing the movement and safety of cargo and baggage on an aircraft. Unload, load, and secure cargo, determine orientation and destination, and complete load plans
  • Tag and process the checked baggage and make sure that cabin baggage conforms to regulated size, weight and content
  • Clean and prepare aircraft interior for passengers and wash aircraft exterior
  • Marshal or tow aircrafts to gate positions for passenger boarding and deplaning and for loading and unloading of cargo
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers and secure cargo during flight
  • Performs other ground support duties at airports
  • Assists passengers with Special handling cases
  • Communicate using standard signals and coordinate with ground engineers for services before and upon arrival
  • Clear the ramp team for chock and passenger step placement when safe, and liaise with the captain for additional needs
  • Insert the steering bypass pin with the ground engineer before connecting the tow bar and ensure parking brakes are released before push/tow
  • Ensure safety behind the aircraft before pushback and inform the captain immediately if the tow tractor disconnects

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Ability to lift heavy items

  • Knowledge on aviation regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with laws
  • Ability to endure tough working conditions
  • Working under pressure
  • Good communication skills

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be physically fit
  • Knowledge of customer service working hours
  • Willing to work on shifting schedule, weekends, holidays and extended working hours
