With Metrobank, a meaningful life is within your reach Job Summary:Designs, evaluates, installs, and administers infrastructure components and facilities.

Provides technical support services to personnel in other ITG teams. Plans, prepares, recommends, and implements medium-term roadmaps for the infrastructure managed. Role Exposure:Installs and administers infrastructure components and facilities under his coverage.

Maintains infrastructure uptime, performance, and security at agreed service levels. Researches industry developments regarding assigned infrastructure components to learn and implement better administration practices, understand cost-effective alternatives, and guard against unplanned obsolescence. Recommends better and/or more cost-effective replacement infrastructure when needed.

Provides technical support to personnel in data center operations, applications management, and risk management. Offers inputs to applications managers on infrastructure considerations for optimal application design. Communicates and coordinates with infrastructure vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements.

Reviews vendor performance periodically against Service Level Agreements. Monitors the health and performance of assigned infrastructure components regularly and reports their status to seniors. Performs regular housekeeping on infrastructure components, such as cleanup of unnecessary components, system backups, vendor preventive maintenance, etc., as applicable.

Documents the configuration of infrastructure components and keeps such documentation updated and secure. Performs configuration management, change management, availability management, security, and patch management. Conducts root cause analysis and recommends permanent resolutions to issues and problems encountered.Recommends and implements automation of recurring tasks.

Identifies infrastructure monitoring gaps and suggests tools and actions to address them. Performs capacity management by collecting historical data and forecasting future growth. Sets thresholds to alert when resource additions are needed and triggers resource allocation actions.

Performs other functions as assigned from time to time.
