Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the company.
Determines if the specific components of repair requirements of the automotive unit submitted for servicing are covered by warranty.
Undertakes documentation of warranty servicing by:
a. Filling out warranty claim forms and free periodic maintenance coupons.
b. Approving parts requisition and issuance slip to signify their coverage under warranty.
c. Approving the provision of labor services related to maintenance and repair under warranty.
d. Preparing pre-authorization form for repairs exceeding the limit amount set by the dealer distributor and for those beyond warranty coverage.
e. Preparing DMS invoice for warranty repair order.
Make sure that all warranty claim parts will be returned and secure them in the storage room and maintain its original state or condition to avoid claim disapproval upon submission.
Segregates and prepares parts tag for all replaced warranty parts; fills out parts disposal form and prepares warranty parts for disposal; acts as custodian of replaced parts that are not for disposal.
Prepares parts disposal monitoring record.
Summarizes repair jobs and parts replacement under warranty to serve as basis for the submission of claims for the reimbursement of costs involved.
Monitors claim status, undertakes follow-up action for the reconsideration of disapproved / returned claims; submits summary of disapproved and returned claims to the Accounting Section of the Finance Department.
Provides technical and product quality feedback on the basis of summarization of observations from warranty jobs undertaken.
Disseminates information derived from technical bulletins to service personnel concerned.
Coordinates repairs of standard accessories under warranty by external service providers.
Recommends system to improve warranty storage at its top efficiency.
Make sure all warranty parts are properly audited and make measures to ensure its security. To prevent any privilege.
Confirms with accounting that all warranty claims are updatedly being claimed.
Monitors and update any changes with warranty process.
Attends / monitor and update regular warranty training for our dealership.
Attends weekly meeting to discuss warranty claim status provided with a summary of reports using the weekly monitoring form template and to be submitted to the Dept. Head.
Provide monthly report of warranty claims (Approved Claims Amount, Disapproved Claims Lists, Returned Claims, Unpaid Claims or open Repair Order lists with remarks) to be submitted to the Dept. Head.
Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.
