Are you an experienced Accounting Specialist looking for an exciting opportunity with a leading company? Southern Arms Corporation, a dynamic organisation in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, is seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial accounting and reporting support to ensure the company's financial operations run smoothly.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Assisting with the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Providing support for auditing and compliance activities
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and timely
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient accounting practices
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the financial services or manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in using accounting software and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
