SEA LOGISTICS SPECIALIST (IMPORT OPERATION FOR JAPAN ACCOUNT)

We are seeking a Sea Logistics Specialist with a solid logistics background to manage and oversee import operations from vessel arrival to final delivery. This role requires precision, strong coordination skills, and the ability to handle time-sensitive cargo movements in a fast-paced global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end import operations, including documentation, cargo monitoring, billing coordination, and shipment updates.
  • Coordinate overseas agent (POL) and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate cargo flow.
  • Verify and process import documents such as BLs, invoices, Arrival Notices and cfs costs estimates.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, delays, and port updates, and communicate critical information to stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational issues involving documentation discrepancies, cargo availability, and customer instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations, company procedures, and international logistics standards.
  • Maintain shipment records, update internal systems, and ensure accuracy in reports and billing.
  • Assist in preparing costings, service updates, and customer support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve processes and contribute to operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sea freight or import logistics operations.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, import procedures, and freight documentation.
  • Proficient in coordinating with port of loading, shipping lines, agents, and customs brokers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Computer-literate; experience with logistics systems or freight software is an advantage.
