Key responsibilities

  • Staff supervision: Manage, train, and motivate housekeeping staff responsible for public areas.
  • Task management: Schedule and assign daily cleaning tasks and oversee deep cleaning projects.
  • Quality control: Inspect public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, lounges, and meeting rooms, to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Inventory management: Monitor and manage the stock of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
  • Guest services: Address guest requests and complaints regarding public areas promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintenance and safety: Identify and report maintenance issues, monitor pest control and plant care, and handle emergency cleanups.
  • Administrative tasks: Perform administrative duties, manage lost and found items, and maintain records.

Skills and qualifications

  • Supervisory experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role, often within the hospitality industry, is typically required.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for managing a team.
  • Attention to detail: The ability to notice and address minor issues in cleanliness and maintenance is crucial.
  • Computer literacy: Proficiency with standard office software like Microsoft Office is often necessary.
  • Communication skills: Good written and verbal communication skills are important for interacting with staff and guests.
  • Flexibility: The ability to work a variety of shifts is a common requirement.
