Job Summary:

The Senior QC Analyst is responsible for performing advanced quality control testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Senior QC Analyst also supervises and mentors junior analysts, contributes to the development of new testing procedures, and ensures the continuous improvement of quality control activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform advanced testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior QC Analysts, providing guidance and support in testing procedures, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of test results and ensure that all deviations or discrepancies are properly addressed.
  • Participate in the development and validation of new testing methods and procedures to improve efficiency and enhance product quality.
  • Assist in the preparation of stability studies and retain sample testing, ensuring that product quality is maintained throughout its lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate quality issues by performing complex tests, gathering data, and identifying root causes.
  • Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all quality control activities, including testing results, investigations, and corrective actions taken.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that all documentation and records are in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in preparing detailed QC reports, summarizing findings and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in the QC department, including the development of new testing protocols and process optimizations.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and other regulatory requirements in all aspects of quality control activities.
  • Contribute to achieving departmental objectives by performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

a. Educational Level: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field

b. Degree / Course: Related scientific discipline

c. Behavioral Competencies: Strong leadership and mentorship skills, excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication

d. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in laboratory testing methods, analytical instruments, and quality control techniques; in-depth knowledge of GMP, GLP standards

e. Years of Related Experience: At least 3 years of experience in quality control or laboratory testing, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment
