We are looking for a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and minor installations throughout guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. This role ensures that the property remains in excellent condition, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, or replacing faucets.
Perform minor electrical work including changing bulbs, repairing switches, and replacing outlets.
Carry out carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, furniture, and cabinets.
Perform painting, patching, and touch-up work on walls and surfaces as required.
Inspect and troubleshoot hotel equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning.
Maintain air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and basic mechanical equipment.
Assist with the installation or replacement of fixtures, furnishings, and appliances.
Assemble furniture, shelving, and other fixtures when needed.
Provide support in preparing hotel function rooms and event set-ups.
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and prolong equipment life.
Ensure compliance with hotel safety and health standards during all maintenance work.
Keep all maintenance tools, equipment, and storage areas organized and in good working condition.
Monitor supplies and request replacements for maintenance materials when necessary.
Assist other departments such as Housekeeping and Front Office in addressing urgent maintenance needs.
Report major damages, hazards, or repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Department.
Work efficiently to minimize guest inconvenience during repairs or maintenance activities.
Document completed maintenance work and report updates to supervisors.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned to support smooth hotel operations.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma, vocational course, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting).
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
