Purchasing and Inventory Officer

This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and monitoring inventory items to ensure smooth store operations. Task will be focusing on maintaining optimal stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring costs, and supporting multiple retail branches by ensuring timely and accurate inventory replenishment.


Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase inventory items such as raw materials, packaging, supplies, and equipment
  • Coordinate with local and international suppliers for pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and purchase documentation
  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, price, and delivery reliability

Inventory Control

  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast stock requirements based on sales trends and branch needs
  • Prevent overstocking, shortages, and slow-moving items
  • Conduct regular inventory reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Coordinate with store branches regarding stock requests and transfers

Cost & Reporting

  • Track purchasing costs and ensure purchases are within approved budgets
  • Prepare purchase orders, inventory reports, and stock movement summaries
  • Assist management in cost control and inventory optimization strategies

Coordination & Compliance

  • Work closely with store managers, warehouse staff, and accounting team
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and inventory procedures
  • Support audits and inventory checks when required

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • At least 1–2 years experience as a Purchasing Officer, Inventory Officer, or similar role
  • Retail or Food & Beverage store background is required
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and purchasing processes
  • Good negotiation and supplier coordination skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel / Google Sheets; experience with inventory systems is an advantage
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple branches
  • Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Korean language is an advantage, if applicable)
