Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in both manual and automation testing to join a fast-paced development team. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented QA professional with experience in end-to-end testing — from requirement analysis to test planning, execution, and reporting.

As a key member of the QA function, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality releases and excellent product stability by leveraging both manual and automated testing approaches.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases across both manual and automation scopes


• Help define and evolve our QA approach, processes, and best practices to ensure optimal quality standards


• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage


• Set up, maintain, and improve automation test frameworks and pipelines


• Conduct comprehensive database testing including DDL operations, indexes, triggers, and identifying edge cases such as boundary conditions and constraint violations


• Perform API testing using Postman and write robust validation checks


• Execute functional, integration, regression, risk-based, and exploratory testing


• Document and report defects clearly using JIRA, ensuring accurate tracking and resolution


• Leverage tools like Playwright, Selenium or similar frameworks, and Python to automate web application test scenarios


• Validate structured configuration and test data stored in YAML


• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies

Required Skills and Qualifications:


• years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong balance of both manual and automation testing


• Proven experience with JIRA, Postman, and Playwright


• Strong understanding of database testing (DDL, indexes, triggers), API testing, and riskbased testing


• Proficient in Python-based testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest)


• Experience with Selenium or similar UI automation frameworks


• Good understanding of data privacy principles and secure testing practices


• Familiarity with YAML and its use in test configurations or CI/CD pipelines


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail


• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative agile team environment

Must be willing to work Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm Manila Time

Must be comfortable working Homebased

Must have reliable internet connection at home
