Job Description

Tax Accountant/Senior Tax Preparer

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, including all associated schedules (1040, 1120S,1120,1065, and 990)
  •  Prepare accurate tax projections
  • Communicate with clients & internal team to obtain tax information
  • Ensure accuracy and reasonableness of financial statements
  • Reconcile the financials with the tax return
  • Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax reports
  • Develop systems, processes, and procedures to ensure that our internal workflow tools are optimized 
  • Assist the accounting team with special projects or new client setups as needed
  • The right candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Operate with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Self-starter with analytical and problem-solving skill

Professional Skills Required:

  • Accounting Degree (4 years minimum), CPA license (Philippines)
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in tax preparation
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Drake Tax Software or other tax software
