Senior Accountant (Remote)
Shift: Monday to Friday; 7AM – 4PM

About the role

The Senior Accountant will be working closely with the client to support the business and manage the following tasks:

Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for clients. Ensure compliance with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations and deadlines. Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements. Provide advice on GST, PAYG, and other tax-related matters. Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Liaise with the ATO on behalf of clients regarding BAS-related issues. Provide training and support to clients on accounting software and BAS preparation. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations. 

Qualifications / Skills:

We are looking for an A-star individual, passionate and competent with what they do and bringing the WOW with the following qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field. Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks. Strong understanding and experience of BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, and other tax obligations. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients. High level of integrity and professionalism.
