We are seeking a qualified and proactive Pollution Control Officer (PCO) to oversee and manage environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives for our Technopark site development project.
The PCO will ensure that all environmental regulations, standards, and best practices are upheld throughout the planning, construction, and operational phases of the development. Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with environmental laws, permits, and policies from DENR, EMB, LGUs, and other relevant agencies.
Monitor and control all pollution sources, including air, water, noise, hazardous waste, and solid waste within the site. Prepare and submit periodic reports such as SMR (Self-Monitoring Report) and CMR (Compliance Monitoring Report).
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and planning teams to integrate environmental standards in all stages of the project. Liaise with government regulators and ensure timely renewal of permits (e.g., ECC, Permit to Operate, Hazardous Waste Registration, etc.).
Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits on-site and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Lead the development and implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and Pollution Control Programs.
Educate and train staff, contractors, and stakeholders on environmental compliance and best practices. Support ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and sustainability initiatives, including green certifications (e.g., LEED, BERDE, EDGE) if applicable.
Keep abreast of changes in environmental legislation, technology, and sustainability trends relevant to technopark development.
Qualifications Required
Must be a Certified Pollution Control Officer (PCO) recognized by DENR (or relevant national authority).
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years experience in pollution control, ideally in real estate, infrastructure, industrial estates, or site development projects.
Strong understanding of local and national environmental regulations and permitting processes.
Preferred: Experience working in technopark, eco-zone, or large-scale urban development. Knowledge of ISO 14001, ESG frameworks, or green building certifications. Familiarity with digital environmental monitoring tools (IoT sensors, GIS-based mapping, etc.)

Occasional travel to government offices and training venues may be required.
