A Café Manager oversees the daily operations of a café to ensure it runs smoothly, profitably, and provides a positive customer experience.

Duties and Responsibility

  1. Operations Management

  2. Open and close the café according to schedule

  3. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
  4. Manage inventory and order supplies (coffee, pastries, etc.)

  5. Maintain equipment and schedule repairs as needed

  6. Staff Management

  7. Recruit, train, and supervise baristas and café staff

  8. Prepare staff schedules and handle shift rotations
  9. Motivate and lead the team to deliver excellent service

  10. Conduct performance evaluations and discipline when necessary

  11. Customer Service

  12. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues

  13. Ensure excellent and consistent customer experiences

  14. Monitor service quality and speed

  15. Sales & Financials

  16. Monitor daily sales and prepare reports

  17. Meet sales targets and manage budgets
  18. Control costs (labor, inventory, utilities)

  19. Conduct cash handling and bank deposits

  20. Marketing & Promotions

  21. Implement local marketing strategies and promotions

  22. Maintain a strong social media or local presence (if required)
  23. Plan and promote seasonal offerings or events

Qualifications: Education & Certifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or management (preferred)
  • Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) may be required

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in food service or hospitality
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or management role is usually required

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Good organizational and time management abilities
  • Basic math and financial literacy
  • Ability to multitask under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php15, Php20,000.00 per month
