Job Summary

The Finance and Accounting Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that LoveYourself's financial resources are strategically aligned with its mission. This position focuses on financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and decision-support analytics, helping ensure sustainable and impactful programming in health, empowerment, and inclusive development.

As a key business partner to leadership, this officer will provide data-driven insights and strategic guidance to enhance financial performance, improve resource allocation, and support the long-term growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the organization's strategic financial planning, including the creation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models.
• Analyze programmatic and operational data to support financial decision-making and resource allocation.
• Prepare financial dashboards, scenario analyses, and funding projections to guide the financial direction of the organization.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure budgets are aligned with programmatic goals and organizational priorities.
• Monitor grant and donor budgets, ensuring that funds are used in compliance with agreed terms and contractual obligations.
• Support resource mobilization efforts through financial modeling and budgeting for proposals, helping the organization secure and manage funding.
• Recommend cost-saving and efficiency strategies based on analysis of data and emerging financial trends.
• Provide financial insights to leadership and contribute to the ongoing development of the organization's overall strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or a related field.
• CPA or MBA certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or grant-based finance.
• Prior experience working with NGOs, non-profits, or mission-driven organizations is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets; familiarity with budgeting software or data visualization tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
