Job Summary:

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients, generating new business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role involves understanding client needs, presenting solutions, and driving sales strategies to meet revenue targets. The Sales Account Manager will work closely with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure the successful implementation of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing concerns, providing updates, and offering solutions.

Regularly engage with clients to understand their evolving business needs and ensure satisfaction.

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and work to expand revenue.

Create tailored proposals and presentations for clients based on their specific needs.

  • Business Development:

Prospect for new clients and generate new leads through networking, referrals, and outbound sales activities.

Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals.

Negotiate terms and contracts with clients to ensure favorable outcomes.

  • Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, customer success) to ensure smooth onboarding and continued client satisfaction.

Communicate feedback from clients to product and service teams for continuous improvement.

  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

Track and report on sales activities and performance against targets.

Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and results to management.

Maintain accurate client records in the CRM system.

  • Customer Retention & Growth:

Monitor and ensure the successful delivery of products and services to clients.

Handle post-sale support and work to resolve any client issues or concerns.

Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services to existing clients.

  • Market & Product Knowledge:

Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.

Continuously improve knowledge of the company's products or services to better support clients and drive sales.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:

1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in account management or business development.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and proposals clearly.

Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision-makers.

  • Problem Solving:

Ability to identify customer pain points and offer creative solutions.

Comfortable in handling objections and difficult conversations in a professional manner.

  • Customer Focus:

Passion for building and nurturing strong client relationships.

Strong customer service orientation with focus on delivering results.

  • Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
