Senior Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design & Architecture

  • Lead the design and architecture of branch and campus networks, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Define network standards, best practices, and deployment guidelines to ensure consistency across sites.
  • Evaluate and recommend network solutions from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Develop network diagrams, topology maps, and capacity planning documents.

2. Implementation & Deployment

  • Plan, configure, and deploy network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs).
  • Execute branch network rollouts, upgrades, and migrations with minimal disruption.
  • Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and vendors to ensure timely delivery.

3. Operations & Monitoring

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and SLA compliance.
  • Implement network automation and monitoring tools for proactive maintenance and alerts.
  • Conduct periodic network health assessments and optimization initiatives.

4. Security & Compliance

  • Ensure branch and campus networks adhere to enterprise security policies and standards.
  • Implement network segmentation, access control, VPN security, and firewall policies.
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and vulnerability remediation efforts.

5. Advisory & Collaboration

  • Serve as the SME and escalation point for complex network issues across branch/campus sites.
  • Collaborate with data center, cloud, and security teams to ensure end-to-end network integrity.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to network engineers and operations teams.
