Job Purpose: Provide a proactive maintenance, warranty work, parts and service repairs according to specifications and established safety guidelines to keep our customer's kitchen equipment running at optimum efficiency.

Job Duties:

  • Find fault/s, replaces and repairs kitchen equipment during Foodservice Equipment Evaluation
  • Adheres to company's Health and Safety rules and Quality Assurance rules while working in kitchens
  • Identifies and resolves any issues related to non-electrical trades such as plumbing, welding, fabricating, refrigeration, etc.
  • Writes reports on activities if and when required
  • Ensures all works are carried out as per instructions and specifications by immediate Manager
  • Liaises with superiors to discuss day to day operational requirements, achievements and improvements and takes necessary action accordingly
  • Prepared to work unsociable hours or overtime as dictated by the immediate Manager
  • Ensures timekeeping and personal hygiene are of the highest standards
  • Assists the team when needed and ensures all problems are dealt with professionally
  • Ensures PPM services are performed on equipment as directed by Management
  • Develops and maintains good working relationship with clients
  • Handles every complaint/suggestion from Managers with positive attitude, sincerity and promptness
  • Maintains a professional and pleasant working relation with all his superiors and peers at all times
  • Attends regular meetings (tool box talks) with other staff to share mutual concerns, work practices, improvement plans and to communicate company's policies, standards, objectives, and other helpful information
  • Ensures that all accidents, fire loss, theft and damages are reported to Supervisor/Manager immediately and proper procedures are followed. In addition, where appropriate, takes remedial action
  • Adheres to the QHSE rules and regulations of client
  • Uses correct PPE and maintain them in good condition
  • Ensures proper usage and maintenance of all equipment
  • Attends appropriate technical and manufacturer training
  • Obtains additional licenses and certifications as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Elementary ability to prepare and present information to guests, more senior associates, clients and Management
  • Intermediate professional or theoretical knowledge and fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in kitchen equipment repair
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to develop and maintain successful working relationship with Management, co-workers and customers
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision
