Step Into the Role

Be part of our client's team as a US Accountant, where you'll handle journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring US GAAP compliance. You'll work closely with NetSuite, Excel, and cross-functional teams to support month-end closings, payroll, AP/AR, and process improvements, contributing directly to accurate and efficient financial operations.

What You Bring to the Team

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant US accounting experience, preferably in fintech
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
• Experience using NetSuite accounting software preferred; other accounting software experience acceptable
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Your Daily Impact

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for significant fluctuations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP/AR, and Tax departments

Cash, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Post bank transactions for all bank accounts and complete corresponding reconciliations
• Apply customer payments in NetSuite
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
• Post monthly amortization journal entries via the NetSuite prepaids module
• Complete prepaid account reconciliations
• Record monthly depreciation and reconcile to the fixed assets schedule
• Update fixed assets schedule for additions
• Post monthly amortization journal entries in NetSuite and reconcile to the intangibles schedule
• Ensure automatic journal entries in NetSuite on the 1st of each month match the ASC 842 schedule
• Roll forward the monthly lease reconciliation accordingly
• Record payroll activity for each month based on reports downloaded from Paylocity (typically 5+ payrolls per month)
• Post monthly stock-based compensation journal entries based on the Carta report
• Record journal entries for early exercise activity based on a separate Carta report
