JOB SUMARY

The Merchandise Manager oversees the entire merchandising lifecycle, bridging boutique and warehouse operations. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the role ensures seamless execution of merchandising procedures and accurate stock and pricing management. By maintaining optimal inventory levels and maximizing sell‑through, the Merchandise Manager supports the brand's commercial objectives and upholds store standards.

YOU WILL

  1. Oversee overall SAP-related operations, including creation of articles, Purchase Orders (POs), Purchase Info Records (PIRs), and maintenance of batch-managed articles.
  2. Manage construction and renovation projects, including budget allocation for new stores and renovations, through Project Builder and WBS.
  3. Maintain and update sales prices in the system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely implementation.
  4. Handle stock movements between the warehouse and boutique through Stock Transport Orders (STOs).
  5. Monitor Special Orders (SOs) and ensure timely fulfillment with correct specifications, coordinating with the commercial team, store operations, and warehouse.
  6. Order and manage non-merchandise items such as packaging, visual merchandising display elements, store and client-use materials.
  7. Handle end-to-end processing of delivery claims (for damaged goods, missing items, or shipment variances), including investigation, coordinating with logistics and warehouse teams, preparing claim documentation, and ensuring resolution.
  8. Oversee after-sales and recall items, including coordination with Hermes Customer Service (Paris), Singapore logistics, and local forwarders via Grand Rosetta Corporation (GRC) for shipping.
  9. Manage the entire Return-to-Vendor (RTV) process when required.
  10. Monitor credit memos issued by the supplier and ensure they are properly processed.

11. Provide updated stock-level reports to store heads and support timely replenishment.

12. Conduct worldwide searches for selected items requested by client.

13. Oversee the insurance policies and claims for boutiques and Hermes Perfume and Beauty counters (HPC), ensure adequate coverage, manage renewals, maintain records, and liaise with the insurance provider.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE

Education

A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in business or fashion merchandising

Work Experience

Minimum of 3 years in merchandise management, preferably within luxury retail

Competency / Training / Skills Required

  • Proven experience working with SAP or other ERP systems, with strong attention to details and data accuracy
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to interpret sales data, inventory levels with the ability to provide insightful solutions or merchandising strategies
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder-management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of fashion and market trends
