About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead our merchandising strategy and ensure the success of our retail business. This role plays a critical part in delivering the right products, at the right price, at the right time—driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Merchandising & Planning
- Lead product selection and sourcing across categories (Core, Non-core, Kids & Babies).
- Manage category assortment, pricing, and seasonal planning.
- Develop and implement pricing and markdown strategies.
2. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor merchandise planners and buyers.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, warehouse, and sales teams to align merchandising strategies.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
3. Inventory & Supply Chain Oversight
- Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient stock replenishment.
- Forecast demand using sales data and market trends.
- Balance product availability with inventory turnover targets.
4. Sales & Performance Analytics
- Track and analyze category and product performance.
- Prepare reports on sales, inventory, profitability, and KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement based on data insights.
5. Customer & Market Insight
- Monitor customer buying behavior, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Ensure assortments stay relevant and aligned with customer preferences.
6. Budget & Financial Management
- Manage category budgets, revenue targets, and profit goals.
- Optimize margins and control costs.
7. Promotions & Product Launches
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and promotions.
- Oversee execution of product launches, seasonal rollouts, and special events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in retail merchandising or buying.
- At least 3 years in a senior merchandising role.
- 2–3 years experience in retail store operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Proven experience with demand forecasting, inventory management, and category performance analysis.
