The role requires effective cross-disciplinary collaboration and structured delivery of MoC documentation, with project values ranging from approx. 5 to 100 MM USD.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the development of conceptual designs during the pre-DG3 stage.
  • Develop the Basis for Design (BfD) for larger projects.
  • Prepare input information for the Decision Review Board (DRB).

  • Support process safety reviews for operating facilities.
  • Participate in HAZOP, DSR, and model reviews.

  • No direct reports, however, the role includes mentoring, coaching, and providing technical guidance to peers.
  • Requires the ability to manage multiple projects, MoCs, and site activities concurrently.
  • Plays a key role in strengthening process safety awareness and culture across teams.
  • Must be adaptable to evolving priorities and changing environment.
  • Expected to remain composed and effective during high-pressure situations such as major maintenance events, abnormal operations, and Turnarounds.

What you bring

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in process engineering and process safety, preferably in large manufacturing sites and Brownfield projects.
  • Strong foundation in process design, concept selection & development, and BfD preparation.
  • Familiarity with DEPs, industry standards
  • Experience working with EPC contractors.
  • Proficient in core process engineering areas: safety, unit design, operations support, control & optimization, modeling, and utilities.

Preferred:

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative to solve problems and ask for help when required
  • Skilled in handling complex, ambiguous problems and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions and documentation.
  • Experience with MoC processes, safety reviews (PHA, HEMP-LOPA), and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge of process control systems, economic analysis, and simulation tools.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
