We're hiring a WordPress Website Developer & Designer who understands that great design, clean code, and strong on-page SEO work together. This role sits at the intersection of development, UI/UX, performance, and SEO, and it's ideal for someone who takes pride in building sites that rank, load fast, and convert.

What You'll Be Working OnWordPress Design & Development

• Designing and developing responsive, high-quality WordPress websites with a strong focus on usability and clarity.
• Turning briefs and wireframes into clean, well-structured layouts with maintainable code.
• Building scalable site structures using custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields.
• Applying solid UI/UX principles—layout flow, spacing, hierarchy, typography, and consistency.
• Creating or refining visual elements (sections, layouts, graphics, icons) to deliver polished, professional websites.

Performance, Speed & On-Page SEO

• Ensuring primary pages consistently load in under 2 seconds.
• Optimizing Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) using modern performance best practices.
• Implementing strong on-page SEO foundations, including:
• Clean semantic HTML and logical heading structures
• SEO-friendly URLs and internal linking
• Proper meta tags and indexation controls
• Image optimization and accessibility-friendly markup
• Schema-ready structures where appropriate
• Configuring caching, CDNs, and hosting environments for maximum efficiency.
• Testing and refining performance using Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and WebPageTest.

Quality, UX & Continuous Improvement

• Ensuring cross-browser and cross-device consistency.
• Building lightweight, secure, and stable WordPress setups with minimal plugin dependency.
• Improving UX based on performance data, user behavior, and SEO considerations.
• Collaborating closely with the team to align technical execution with content and business goals.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be accountable for:

• Page load times under 2 seconds on key pages.
• Lighthouse performance scores of 90+ (mobile and desktop).
• Clean, crawlable site structures with strong internal linking.
• Stable layouts with minimal shifts and smooth interactions.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional WordPress development experience, with live projects to show.
• Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript) and solid WordPress fundamentals.
• Proven experience with on-page SEO implementation as part of the development process.
• A good eye for design and user experience—visual quality matters.
• Experience optimizing sites for speed, Core Web Vitals, and search performance.
• Clear communication, structured work habits, and strong ownership of deliverables.
• Fluent English, reliable internet, and availability for remote collaboration and screen sharing.

Nice to Have (Plus Points)

• Experience with off-page SEO (link building strategies, outreach, or SEO coordination).
• WooCommerce performance optimization and checkout UX improvements.
• Technical SEO knowledge (schema, crawl optimization, internal linking strategies).
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma or Adobe.
• Thoughtful micro-interactions or animations that enhance UX without hurting performance.
