Key responsibilities

  • Maintenance and repairs: Perform routine inspections, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and replace defective parts.
  • Preventive maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance to keep machinery in optimal working order and prevent future breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions by observing machines, conducting diagnostic tests, and using tools to determine the cause of problems.
  • Installation: Install new machinery and mechanical systems, including wiring electrical equipment like motors and control systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including collecting data and creating reports.
  • Safety compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, and ensure the work environment is clean and safe.
  • Technical interpretation: Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment requirements and repair procedures.

Required skills and abilities

  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents like blueprints.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy parts.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends, may be required.

Preferably:

  • Has experience in Cosmetics plant.
