About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pollution Control Officer to join our team at GJH SERCONS, INC.' in Calaca Batangas. As a full-time Pollution Control Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining our company's compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. This is a crucial role that directly contributes to the environmental sustainability of our operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Monitoring and analysing air, water, and soil quality to ensure they meet all applicable environmental standards
  2. Developing and implementing pollution control strategies and initiatives to minimise the environmental impact of our operations
  3. Preparing and submitting environmental reports and documentation to regulatory authorities
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential environmental risks or issues
  5. Staying up-to-date with changes in environmental legislation and best practices
  6. Providing training and guidance to employees on environmental compliance and best practices

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineer or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a pollution control or environmental management role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Thorough understanding of environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Must have 40 hours BOSH training/certificate.
  • Proficiency in environmental monitoring and reporting tools and software
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be Accredited to DENR, LLDA, EMB.
  • Must be Category B Pollution Control Officer.
