We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Medical Biller and Coder to join the administrative team supporting our client, a reputable home health care company based in Los Angeles. This is a remote position for a candidate based in the Philippines.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical billing and coding for home health services. You will play a critical part in the revenue cycle by working directly with US medical documentation, insurance protocols, and billing systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for home health services based on clinical documentation.
  • Review patient charts and encounter forms for completeness and compliance.
  • Prepare, submit, and track clean claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance payers in the US.
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, perform re-submissions, and conduct appeals as necessary.
  • Post payments and adjustments, and reconcile accounts.
  • Stay updated on US healthcare billing regulations, specifically related to home health (e.g., PDGM knowledge is a plus).
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with the US-based team regarding billing and coding issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Biller and Coder, with specific experience in Home Health or Hospice care for the US market.
  • In-depth knowledge of US medical billing practices, ICD-10, CPT coding, and home health regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience with US insurance claim processes (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
  • Familiarity with common medical billing software.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office workspace.
