About the role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for directing and overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the construction company. This includes financial planning, budgeting, project cost control, cash flow management, risk assessment, and compliance. The CFO ensures accurate financial reporting for ongoing construction projects and provides strategic financial leadership to support company growth and operational efficiency. This full-time position is based in Taguig City, Metro Manila, where you will contribute to the strategic direction and successful delivery of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies specifically aligned with the needs of construction operations and project-based business models.
  • Advise the CEO and executive team on financial planning, profitability, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Lead capital planning, funding strategies, and financial modeling for new projects and expansions.

Project & Cost Management

  • Oversee job costing, cost control procedures, and monitoring of project budgets.
  • Review project financial performance, cost-to-complete reports, variance analysis, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of labor, materials, subcontractor contracts, change orders, and billing.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and the Operations team to ensure projects remain within budget.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Supervise preparation of financial statements, project-based reports, cash flow forecasts, and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and construction industry regulations.
  • Present monthly and quarterly financial updates to management and stakeholders.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and develop reliable forecasts for revenue, expenses, and project pipelines.
  • Monitor budget performance for both corporate and project levels.
  • Recommend adjustments to align budgets with operational realities and market conditions.

Cash Flow, Treasury & Funding

  • Manage company cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for project execution, payroll, materials, and subcontractor payments.
  • Oversee billing cycles, progress billings, collections, and retention management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, insurers, and bonding companies.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and manage financial risks related to construction contracts, project delays, cost escalations, and compliance issues.
  • Ensure adherence to local taxation laws, construction regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and operational compliance.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee the Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Mentor and develop financial staff and promote a culture of accountability and accuracy.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Procurement departments.

Stakeholder & Investor Relations

  • Present financial insights and project performance reports to the Board, shareholders, and external partners.
  • Support due diligence for joint ventures, partnerships, and major project investments.
  • Coordinate with auditors, government agencies, regulatory offices, and industry partners.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong background in job costing, project finance, and construction accounting practices.
  • Excellent understanding of cash flow management, taxation, regulatory compliance, and contract management.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and business acumen.
