Job Summary

The IT System Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, security systems, and other digital resources. The role ensures that systems are running efficiently, securely, and reliably, while providing technical support to employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • · Install, configure, monitor, and maintain IT systems including servers, laptops, desktops, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
  • · Perform regular inspection and preventive maintenance of company laptops, desktops, and mobile devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • · Administer and monitor firewall, network security, and antivirus systems to protect organizational data and assets.
  • · Set up, configure, and monitor CCTV systems and ensure proper recording and storage of video data.
  • · Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
  • · Manage user accounts, access rights, and system permissions in line with company policies.
  • · Ensure proper backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
  • · Monitor network performance, connectivity, and security vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • · Manage the IT ticket queue efficiently, ensuring all issues are documented, tracked, and resolved within established SLAs.
  • · Document IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides for reference.
  • · Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed

Qualifications

  • · Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • · Proven experience as a System Engineer, IT Administrator, or similar role.
  • · Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), routers, switches, and firewall management.
  • · Experience in CCTV system setup and monitoring.
  • · Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • · Familiarity with security principles, data protection, and backup solutions.
  • · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • · Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

  • Knowledge in cloud systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • Certification such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certifications is a plus.
