Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation & Logistics Coordinator to support our freight operations and accounting processes. This role will primarily involve managing freight purchase orders, tracking transportation costs, and assisting with clerical and administrative tasks related to QuickBooks, transportation, and warehousing. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, is comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software, and can efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Freight Purchase Orders (FPOs):

  • Create and maintain FPOs for every load tendered to a carrier in QuickBooks.

  • Input detailed information including PO numbers, SKUs/number of cases shipped, freight rates, and ship dates.

  • Cost Per Pound Tracker Maintenance:

  • Update and maintain the Cost Per Pound Tracker for each load.

  • Track origin, destination, weight, accessorials, and lane-specific information for all shipments.
  • Enable detailed reporting on transportation spend by linking to sales reports.

  • Clerical & Administrative Support:

  • Assist with general clerical tasks related to QuickBooks, transportation, and warehousing.

  • Enter or update customer order information and other related data.
  • Maintain and update additional trackers for problem loads or special reporting needs as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related roles.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software preferred.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the team.
