Role Function and Group: Innovation and Technology Sustainable Transportation Technology

Location:India Position Summary:

The India Sustainable Transportation (ST) Technology Team Leader position helps lead the group of technologists and TSA who collectively make up part of the Customer Technical Services (CTS) Asia Pacific (AP) team. The Team Leader is accountable for assisting the Head of CTS AP in leading the overall team activities, which is focused on delivering technical support to India Customers & OEMs. This includes resourcing, stewarding and delivering the agreed portfolio of ST Technology projects and providing work direction plus personal development to the colleagues within the team. The role is an opportunity to demonstrate leadership in a technical team working on a diverse set of projects and activities.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

Must-have

oPrioritise, coordinate and deliver customer technical support and tender technical response aligned with SVP

oSupervise members of the India ST Technology team in their technical work, including coaching and mentoring to support their personal development

oManage a portfolio of ST Technology Projects in the CTS AP team

oWork with Commercial and Technology stakeholders to agree project targets and secure resourcing

oAssign and coordinate resources to meet the agreed project targets, in conjunction with the Head of CTS AP

oSteward delivery and spend for each of the projects and report progress monthly to stakeholders

oProvide technical guidance to project teams and develops local capabilities to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and principles of technology excellence are intrinsic to the approach

oAct as an advisor to the Head of CTS AP, providing insight and guidance on issues related to technology and activities specific to India

oHelp ensure the overall safe operation of our ST Technology organisation

Good-to-have

oSupport networking and collaboration with the wider Infineum SMEs for the team, e.g. participation in networks, collaboration with ST Product Development, Global Engineering, Industrial Liaison teams to facilitate project delivery

oInfluence the Infineum way of working and culture into the India organisation

oDevelop options and lead the India Technology Centre development (circa 2026)

What skills will you gain from this role?

This is position for leading a group of professional colleagues. The key skills to be gained are in coaching and leading colleagues in a technical setting. The role will also help develop skills in managing a portfolio of technical projects / activities and guiding related capability development.

A successful candidate is likely to:

Bachelors degree in science or engineering. Masters or PhD may be of value given the technology basis for Infineum growth model

10+ years of experience working in the lubricant additives industry with versatile knowledge in across a number of different segments and functions

Experience of supervising, coaching and developing colleagues; an ability to motivate and inspire others

Demonstrated ability to make decisions and assist in prioritisation activities, sense of urgency

Experienced project manager with demonstrated ability to steward projects and communicate with stakeholders

Track record of delivery and product development in a technical area

Ability to effectively manage multiple technical activities and priorities simultaneously to tight deadlines

Strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and develop external personal relationships

Demonstrated ability to influence colleagues at multiple levels, in / outside ST Technology

Strong commercial acumen and enthusiasm to work with both colleagues and customers

Knowledge of products and industry technical requirements across Infineums ST business portfolio, the lubricants industry, lubricant formulation and ST technology deployment activities would be highly advantageous

Strong commitment to Infineum safety and quality values

Specific market/sector knowledge strong plus
