Banquet Supervisor
The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all banquet and event service operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role involves supervising banquet staff, coordinating event setup and service, maintaining service standards, and ensuring events are executed efficiently, safely, and according to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Event Operations
- Supervise and coordinate all banquet functions, including meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events
- Ensure function rooms are set up according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and client requirements
- Oversee food and beverage service during events to ensure timely and high-quality service
- Act as the main point of contact during events to resolve guest or operational issues promptly
Staff Supervision
- Supervise, train, and motivate banquet servers, bartenders, and support staff
- Assign duties and manage staff schedules based on event needs
- Ensure staff follow service standards, grooming policies, and safety procedures
- Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate event details and service expectations
Quality & Service Standards
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with kitchen, sales, and event planning teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Communicate any changes or special requests to relevant departments
- Assist with post-event breakdown, inventory control, and reporting
Administrative Duties
- Assist with payroll verification, staff attendance, and performance feedback
- Report equipment needs, damages, or shortages
- Support the Banquet Manager with operational planning and improvements
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of banquet or food & beverage service experience, with supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of banquet service styles and event operations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move banquet equipment (tables, chairs, trays)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Hotels, resorts, convention centers, catering venues, or event spaces
- Fast-paced, guest-focused environment with varying event sizes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php16, Php16,600.00 per month
